Job Description
The #1 fastest growing convenient store group is seeking seeking a Financial Analyst to join thier team. This position will report directly to the Director of Finance Planning and Analysis and will partner closely with the Accounting and Finance teams.
Position Responsibilities:
--Tracks, monitors, and presents on company projects and initiatives compared to budget;
--Plays a key role in the annual budgeting process, building models, working with department leaders, analyzing trends;
--Plays a key role in the quarterly forecasting process, developing sales, expense and KPI metric guidance;
--Prepares budget-to-actual variance analysis for review and dissemination to senior management;
--Develops/modify reports for operations and finance based on changing business needs;
--Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management;
--Reconciles transactions and recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data as well as conducting comparative analyses and correcting data as needed;
--Research industry trends and best practices; makes recommendations for enhanced reporting.
Skills and Requirements
2+ years of previous financial analysis or data analysis experience
Expert in Excel (vlookups, hlookups, pivot tables, index match, sum ifs, sum product, array, etc.)
Experience analyzing large pools of data and the ability to manage large volumes of transactions
Strong Financial Data acumen: P&L (Profit Loss) analysis, understanding of consolidating and reviewing financial statements (Revenue, Balance Sheet, Quarter End Statements, Cost of Goods, etc)
Experience comparing quarterly and year-end statement against budget
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, data analytics, or related field QlikView or QlikSense exposure
Experience working with ERP systems null
