About Financial Advisor Development Program - July 2024

  Your role

  Are you passionate about finance and eager to embark on a rewarding career in wealth management? Are you a great listener and clear communicator? Are you someone who is goal-oriented and highly motivated to succeed? Do you hold your SIE or plan to complete your SIE in the near future? If yes, then we're looking for someone like you to join our July 2024 Training Program that will prepare you to become a financial advisor.

  Your development matters

  The UBS Financial Advisor Development Program will offer you the opportunity to:

  • develop a strong foundation in customer service, product knowledge, financial markets, financial planning, investment strategies, consultative selling, and wealth management solutions through interactive training sessions, live client interactions, and ongoing learning & development opportunities with experienced leaders

  • grow professionally throughout an extensive and structured paid Financial Advisor Development Program

  • build and deepen relationships with our existing client base by providing them with an exceptional client experience

  • acquire your Series 7 & Series 66 FINRA Licenses

  • obtain your Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, the standard of excellence in financial planning, as part of our tuition reimbursement program

  • launch a successful career in a growing wealth management business with strong earning potential and career advancement

  You will:

  • identify opportunities to create more holistic client experiences

  • promptly handle inbound calls and effectively service client needs

  • manage all appointments and outreaches as assigned

  • deepen existing client relationships by conducting discovery conversations and making suitable investment recommendations

  • analyze complex financial situations utilizing UBS's digital and financial planning tools

  • lead financial planning conversations with confidence

  • implement financial planning solutions that support our client's goals

  • adhere to compliance and operational procedures and requirements to protect our clients

  Your team

  The UBS Wealth Advice Center is a UBS branch located in Weehawken, NJ and Charlotte, NC committed to providing advice and guidance to Emerging Affluent clients through a consistently delivered hybrid digital client experience.

  The UBS Wealth Advice Center currently serves over ~300,000 clients. Our clients are served over the phone by a team of more than 300+ professionals including both Financial Advisors and Client Service Associates-who work individually with clients to understand their needs and assist them in achieving their goals.

  The UBS Wealth Advice Center leadership team supports career advancement and internal mobility and will help guide you in your career journey at UBS. All new UBS Wealth Advice Center employees must commit to staying in the WAC for a minimum of two years before becoming eligible to transfer to another role internally.

  Your expertise

  You have:

  • a bachelor's degree or equivalent, 2024 graduates welcome

  • SIE required to be completed 30 days before employment

  • Series 7, and Series 66 will need to be obtained within 180 days of employment (Series 66 may be completed prior to start, highly recommended)

  • background in business administration, wealth management, financial planning, or finance (preferred)

  • completion of coursework on financial planning through a CFP Board Registered Program (preferred)

  You are:

  • investment savvy with a foundational understanding of financial markets

  • passionate about financial planning and wealth management solutions

  • someone who champions a client centric culture

  • empathetic and curious

  • goal-oriented and highly motivated to succeed

  • personable and professional

  • an excellent communicator with strong verbal and written skills, including active listening

  • able to work well in a collaborative environment

  • an individual who is capable of receiving and implementing feedback to better one's self
