Duties are of minimal to moderate complexity and require problem solving and clear communication. This position will provide recommendation and guidance to other staff and faculty on process related topics in accordance with local, state, federal, and university regulations. This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote work option for applicants with a residence within the Cincinnati Tri-State Area. Hybrid remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.Essential FunctionsCoordinate and monitor fiscal administrative dutiesAssist in the development and adherence of unit policies and proceduresMaintain account balances and prepare basic financial transactions and reportsPerform internal auditing of financial records and fundsMonitor the financial status of unit programs and other budget allocationsImplement policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.Prepare and maintain journal entries, accounts payable ledgers, etc. for the collegeProvide basic financial analysis (e.g. breakeven, cost comparison) and make recommendations to the school director or academic program coordinators regarding the use of fundsReviewing all financial expenditures to ensure compliance with applicable university financial policies and prevent deficit fund balances in all accountsAssist faculty with purchase, reimbursements, and travel arrangementsEnsure that P-Card charges are appropriately allocatedPrepare and manage contract and bid processAssist with hiring of students, graduate assistants, adjunct faculty, etc. in assigned department(s)Perform timekeeping duties for hourly-paid staffPerform related duties based on departmental need.
