Amazon Payroll is seeking a Financial Manager to support our Global Employee Receivables Program. This position is responsible for helping to improve our employee receivables program processes in the EMEA region. The position will be based in our Bratislava, Slovakia service center.
Your primary role in supporting our Global Employee Receivables Management (GERM) Program will be to oversee new country launches, provide oversight of the existing programs within GERM, ensuring that our policies are being upheld, and that our stakeholders are providing accurate and correct information on a timely basis. You will be tasked with diving deep into our processes to find opportunities to improve the program, while focusing on the customer experience for our employees, and finding the best way to interact with them while making the process as pain free as possible. You will be involved in resolving escalations, working with stakeholders to remove roadblocks in the process, and searching for ways to further automate our program.
Successful candidates will have program management/financial analysis experience in Payroll and / or Accounts Receivable, Audit or Finance, be detail driven, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You should not only be passionate about delivering extensible, on-time solutions, but should also be obsessed with contributing to the development of high-performance teams through rigorous planning, disciplined attention to performance metrics, continuous process improvement and mentor-ship.
Base pay for this position starts from EUR 3,000+ gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Key job responsibilities
• Interact with Finance and Technical contacts, Project Sponsors, Technical Program Managers and multiple Development Teams to deliver on the projects assigned to you.
• Support the effective and efficient delivery of large, complex payroll GERM projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to meet business requirements.
• Act as first point of contact for the GERM team members in BTS.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
• Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
• Create, maintain and disseminate project status, roadmaps, and documentation to stakeholders.
• Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities.
• Prepare various reconciliations including but not limited to Simplicity vs SIM-T, Simplicity vs GL.
• Expertise collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to lead business improvement and cost reductions.

Basic Qualifications
4+ years of financial analysis experience in a related industry, including managing complex projects across multiple, globally dispersed work teams.
Experience using data to influence business decisions.
Fluency in Microsoft Excel.
Advanced analytical skills and an ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills.
Good command on English language oral and written skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related financial field.
Preferred Qualifications
· Prior Payroll and/or Accounts Receivable experience.
· Prior experience with Payroll.
· Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize tasks
· The ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within Amazon and to work with both technical and non-technical individuals.
· Results oriented person with a strong delivery focus who can work independently and collaboratively with other Amazon Organizations.
