Salary Range: $135,000 to $155,000

BUSINESS UNIT/TEAM DESCRIPTION
Our projects may be complex, but our approach is simple: we build great things and we do it with great people. The Finance team at Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) provides employees, stakeholders and customers with timely and accurate financial information. The Finance Department is comprised of six teams: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Collections, Payroll and Tax that work closely together to ensure compliance and the financial well-being of the company.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this role will serve as a strategic business partner to the Company’s Energy Group. The position requires a hands-on leader who will partner with the Energy Group’s leadership team in the execution of key business initiatives and growth strategies in support of overall financial and operational performance excellence.
Provide the Energy Group’s leadership with in-depth, proactive analysis, feedback and recommendations to optimize individual project and division project portfolio performance.
Partners with Energy Group leadership to manage divisional profit and loss, division overhead expenses and to deliver against divisional profits.
Supports divisional business planning and financial forecasting.
Actively monitor project-level and overall group-level cash position and develop and implement programs to ensure the timely billing and ultimate collection of accounts receivable.
Share responsibility for the accuracy and timely preparation and delivery of project forecasts and WIP reporting.
Provide strategic, proactive financial planning support and advice to the Energy Group’s management team to support short-term and long-term growth.
Review and evaluate new project opportunities and related contract terms to ensure alignment with the Company’s risk profile and financial and strategic goals.
Oversee and provide guidance with respect to customer audits, claim/dispute matters or other project related financial issues.
Support the Project Executive team with financial training of new project team members.
Work closely with the Energy Group leadership in the preparation and monitoring of overhead budgets.
Coordinate with the Corporate Tax Team on regional tax matters, including project specific tax matters.
Maintain and analyze key control and reporting metrics utilizing data warehouse and the Power BI business intelligence tools

Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to collaborate and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and all levels of management
Effective at managing and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic and team-oriented environment.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
Licensure/Certifications: None required.
Experience: Construction industry experience preferred. Energy industry experience preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership position overseeing the financial operations of a company or large division of an industrial company.
