Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager for the Infrastructure Central Finance (ICF) team. This role will manage CapEx reporting, planning and analysis for AWS. AWS is the largest single CapEx investor in the world, companies and governments included! This role works across the Infrastructure Finance organization to drive the business insights into performance, lead the monthly close processes, and drive process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple and time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
Manage and develop the financial analysis processes for reporting on AWS Infrastructure CapEx.
Partner with and proactively communicate across the AWS finance community to coordinate a complex and interconnected series of deliverables.
Support ad-hoc requests and assist in various requests from finance and business executives.
Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.
Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
Write and present narratives and analysis of AWS Infrastructure capital for senior leadership.
Lead financial controllership of AWS Infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
