Position SummaryThe individual in this role, who will report to the VP Director of Finance at UM, is able to work independently and use critical thinking skills along with a knowledge of finance and accounting to manage a portion of the larger P&L of the Agency. This person will be exposed to both UM and Mediabrands leadership and their work will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the company. Key attributes are attention to detail, effective communication, ability to work independently, proactive project management and the potential to be a fast learner.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the senior finance team in the management of a portfolio of clients revenue and direct expenses throughout the year:Build staffing plans for labor based feesWork with business team to manage resources working on the businessLead operational workflows contributing to the successful management of the account (Intercompany revenue, non-billable expenses, setup of fee billings, etc.)Work with internal controllers to recognize revenue properly and accuratelyFinancial reporting and analysis on clients' revenue and people costs:Monthly closeQuarterly forecastAnnual budgetMediabrands reporting templates and commentaryUpdate within B&F financial systemWork with HR to update open job requisitionsPreparation of financial slides for client presentationsAd hoc/special projectsExpense reports in Concur
Skills & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred3+ years of accounting/finance experienceMedia industry experience a significant "plus"Collaborative approach and strong listening skillsStrong analytical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsSuperior computer skills, specifically significant Excel experienceStrong organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentAbility to multi-task while demonstrating a high level of attention to detailAbility to collaborate well with staff, clients, and vendors at all levels

The salary range for this position is posted below. Salary Range
$80,000-$90,000 USD
