POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the group VP Finance, the Airtech Group Finance Director will partner closely with the President and key business leaders within the Business Unit. This role is designated for a high-potential performer who will provide strategic financial and business leadership to the division.
The Group Finance Director will be responsible for providing financial and business oversight of management reporting, financial planning / analysis, business strategy initiatives, capital investments, and special projects. In this highly decentralized environment, this role will have full responsibility for the business unit P&L, balance sheet, and working capital, as well as all controllership responsibilities, audit and SOX. This person will be expected to evaluate current procedures and processes and make recommendations to improve operations and efficiencies. The Airtech Group Finance Director will lead a global team of 9 and be responsible for talent development and mentorship for the finance function.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Partnership
Key business partner across all functions, providing financial and data-driven analytics and guidance to assess areas for improvement and to drive profitability Drives 80/20 operational strategy to reduce complexity and increase profitability through commercial and operational partnership Supports the Business in analyzing data and trends to support development and correction of strategies Demonstrates Customer Obsession with analytical support and problems solving with business partners.
Financial Planning and Analysis
Reviews and summarizes monthly consolidated financial results of multiple plants, oversees and provides direction on accounting theory and IDEX policy as appropriate, and insures the timely and accurate completion of all deliverables to IDEX. Responsible for annual operating plan process, monthly forecasting / reporting, and supports strategic planning. Builds and leads a consistent monthly business rhythm, providing accurate financial results and forecast updates to local Airtech leadership as well as business segment leadership. Provides the business with actional information through daily management and monthly business reviews.
Controllership
Directs and oversees all aspects of the Financial, Controls and Accounting functions. Responsible for asset preservation and optimization of working capital management Develops and implements a robust internal control framework and ensures compliance throughout the organization while driving a culture of transparency and trust. Partners with internal and external audit and the business to ensure quality audit performance
Talent / Other
Builds Great Teams, assesses talent needs quickly and builds teams capable of meeting the needs of the organization. Broadens the fundamental understanding of finance / accounting acumen across organization. Assures that performance feedback/reviews, and follow-up on employee feedback, are performed on a formal and informal basis. Identifies and develops candidates for promotion. Performs hiring procedures as required and in accordance with Company guidelines. Manages talent by selecting, training, motivating and developing the finance team(s) Leads and/or participates in special projects and assignments as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or MBA required.
Minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible accounting and finance leadership experience.
Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SOX requirements.
Strong and adaptable capability using dynamic data analytics tools, manufacturing ERP and consolidation systems – PowerBi, JDE and OneStream or HFM experience a bonus
