Key Areas of Responsibility:
Co-manage the business, support and guide strategic and tactical decisions by means of sound business analysis (bus. modelling, opportunity & risk assessments, scenario analysis etc.)
Provide advice on the financial implications of business activities and take accountability for reviewing financial business cases on investments and resource allocation (e.g. marketing programs, R&D expenses, capex)
Co-manage the outcome of financial planning processes (Target setting, quarterly forecast), working closely with business management to optimize value drivers and manage risk
Monitor the financial position of the business. Identify risks and opportunities to current financial projections and take corrective actions where needed (e.g., margin improvement, cost improvements, productivity improvement)
Connect with the Financial Controller on any Accounting Operations topics and where appropriate, ensure input is provided to ensure completeness of External, Statutory reporting and Tax requirements.
Take ownership for the integrity of business results, business ethics, and financial risk management. Sign off the financial statements of the ORUs in scope
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Financial Acumen: A foundational knowledge of financial and management accounting to provide financial advice to the business. Understands IFRS and Signify Accounting Principles, management accounting techniques, Directives, Local Statutory and Local Taxes and how they apply to the business.
Business Performance Management: Take action to drive business performance by understanding the end-to-end business and how financial results are delivered. As part of a Management Team, understand the key value drivers of the business and its processes to drive financial and non-financial decisions that generate value. Balance risk and reward in the deployment of the assets of the company applying sound financial discipline. Challenging the business forecast to ensure it is realistic and then tracking performance against plans.
Decision Influencer: Provide a clear financial recommendation to the business to a specific decision. Communicates financial statements, performance and recommendations to business leaders. Able to model complex business decisions, including business risk management (e.g. contracts, investments).
Strategic Thinker: as a value creation architect, leverage knowledge of the business and customers in determining winning strategies for the business, challenging the assumptions critically. Translate that long term vision and strategy of the business into short to medium term actions to drive the business. Track the impact of those strategic actions and adapt to the changing environment.

Understands the fiscal and regulatory environment the business operates within and ensures the business acts within those regulations, including ensuring financial transactions are recorded in line with the business reality.
