Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time.Workers will plant, harvest, stake, transplant, load, and grade various types of fruit and vegetables. Workerswill have some duties in a greenhouse. The worker will be required to use various hand tools provided by theemployer. Worker will safely operate tractors, transplanter and other farm vehicles as directed. General farmwork tasks the worker must be able to perform include: field cleanup including pulling weeds, maintain crops,laying plastic, gathering plastic, picking up trash, and pulling and palletizing stakes. Fruits and vegetables willinclude, but are not limited to strawberries, strawberry plugs and cuttings, sweet corn, green beans,tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, sugar peas, beans, and ornamental flowers. Job includes working in thefields and greenhouses. This work can require standing, walking, stooping, bending and lifting up to 40pounds for long periods of time indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions. This work requires adherence toimportant food safety and quality standard operating procedures and the ability to work quickly andconsistently alongside fellow workers with a positive, professional, team-based attitude and a considerationfor the safety and health of fellow workers and of the consumers who will purchase and consume the freshproduce grown, harvested, packed, and shipped from the farm. Workers must be able to communicate inEnglish and by line of sight. The employer reserves the right to pay production bonuses to workers.
