As a hands-on Field Service Technician (Industrial Electrician / Automation), you will access world leading solutions across large distribution centres, warehouses and manufacturing operations.
The position will be located in Auckland and may require travel to other cities to periodically service our major client's.
Don't delay, join our amazing team and deliver support to key customers, including contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services. Experience in troubleshooting/problem solving mechanical equipment faults, along with an Industrial Electrician (licenced) background will ensure your success.
The position will require participation in an on-call roster, with working hours covering:Monday to Friday day shift andOne or two Saturdays per month at overtime ratesTasks and Qualifications:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDETroubleshooting and problem solving mechanical/electrical faults on high tech automated material handling equipment and Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV)First respondent to breakdown notifications when on callPerform timely on-site preventative maintenance, service actions and other routine tasks to ensure quality outputsReport on designed/installed equipment which is not performing according to design specificationsEnsure field service incidents are completed and submitted in real time into the Dematic Service PortalClose out maintenance/breakdown tasks via Dematic CMMS databaseSubmit spare parts requests timeously and manage allocated assets including spare parts, computers and toolsUse hazard identification tools and systems to ensure safe work practices in work areas and customer sitesEnsure compliance of all health & safety legislationContribute towards continual improvement activities and inform Operations of any improvementsEnsure high standards of service, skill, ability with current productsDevelop and maintain effective on-going relationships with key customers to ensure customer satisfaction on all assignments.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ElectricalFull NZ Unrestricted Electrical LicenseGeneral PLC experience in Siemens S7 and SCADA preferred but not mandatory, training will be providedMechanicalFitter Trade qualification ideal, not a mandatory requirementMechanical maintenance experience is highly regardedKey AttributesExperience in automation (conveyors), wrapping machines and material handling equipment an advantageExperience in computerised maintenance systems (CMMS)Experience in pneumatic systemsAbility to work in autonomously, make decisions and be results drivenGreat team player and able to work collaborativelyStrong understanding of OHS requirements and application of safe work practicesStrong customer focus and excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skillsGreat team player, with an ability to work collaboratively and build and maintain effective on-going relationshipsWHY BRING YOUR CAREER TO DEMATIC?
