Work you'll do
The Field Project Coordinator will manage a portfolio of Pay for Results (PfR) Projects across diverse geographies and until completion. Activities include:
Manage project teams, implementers, and verifiers in each Challenge Project to ensure that they are effectively carrying out their functions according to the requirements in their respective subcontracts. Additionally, the Coordinator will travel approximately one to two times a year for supervisory field visits of the projects.
Provide operational and technical support to resolve issues that arise in the project's implementation and access Secretariat or Deloitte resources as required.
Provide technical input and feedback that contributes to the design and selection of new pull mechanism projects
Contribute to knowledge pieces for internal and external dissemination, including lessons learned briefs, news articles, success stories, and blog posts.
Support activities of the PfR Project Design Support Unit, including drafting technical and operational materials, and supporting logistics and communications with clients.
Contribute to the creation of AgResults' yearly work plan and semi-annual reports and drafting the accompanying narrative. The Field Project Coordinator will help track updates to the work plan and provide inputs into reports and deliverables.
Approve and process quarterly reports from project managers, determine payments, and coordinate to ensure payments have been processed and track the finances of the responsible projects

Qualifications
Required:
BS/BA degree in agriculture, animal science, agronomy, horticulture, or agricultural business management, or a related discipline with a strong preference put on those candidates with specializations related to agriculture (agricultural economics, agricultural engineering etc.).
3+ years of relevant work experience working in international development with experience working with international donors such as USAID, the World Bank, and the Gates Foundation, or others. Past work experience should be in areas related to agriculture, economic development, innovative development finance, food security, agricultural value chains, and private sector development.
Must be willing to travel two or three times per year on one to two-week trips internationally.
Experience managing international development projects in agriculture is a plus. Ideal experience includes experience with technical writing, portfolio management and reporting.
Exposure to development projects in Sub-Saharan Africa and/ or Asia.
Ability to use knowledge of private sector solutions and innovations in agricultural market systems as well as knowledge of supply chains in bottom of the pyramid (BoP) markets.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future .
Preferred:
Strong strategic communications skills including experience drafting blogs, news stories, and other collateral. Social media savvy is a plus.
Well written and oral communication skills including editing skills.
Professional proficiency in French is highly desired.
