  Summary:

  As a MWI/MICRO Field Hardware/IT Specialist, your primary responsibility will be the on-site installation, configuration and maintaining of our computer systems, computers, software & network infrastructures in our customer's cattle feeding and dairy operations, while delivering exceptional customer service and support to those customers as well as other departments within MICRO/MWI.

  Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  Strong planning, problem-solving, decision-making skills are requiredCommunicate directly with our customersComputer hardware installation, training, maintenance, diagnostics & replacement of the following:Servers, Computers, Switches, Modems, Routers, as well as Wired & Wireless Infrastructure HardwareExperience in virus removalMust be available for local "day" travel.Occasional Long distance overnight travel will be required as wellBe available to cover a rotating weekend "On-Call" scheduleMust have ability to climb grain legs and other like structuresMust have ability to do coaxial and networking cable runsMust be able to adapt to a wide variety of applications as it relates to computers/network equipment. Strong network experience is preferredPerforms other duties as assigned

  What your background should look like

  Basic OS troubleshooting (preferred) as well as some basic knowledge of Linux is preferred but not requiredExperienced in Windows XP, Vista 7 & 8 troubleshootingMust have experience with supporting 1 to 20 computers / workstationsA degree or certification is preferred, but not required. A successful candidate must have equivalent experience in a technical fieldMust be fully qualified to perform the technical tasks listedMust be motivated, reliable, and trustworthyMust be motivated to learn and adapt to areas you may be unfamiliar withMust be eligible to drive a vehicle that is DOT certified (CDL not required)Must have the ability to maintain a DOT log book

  Must have a good driving record

  Time Management: Establishes realistic priorities; accurately assesses own time requirements for various projects; activities; schedules own time and activities efficiently.

  Sense of Urgency: Demonstrates the ability to respond quickly to changes in day to day operation as it relates to department priorities.

  Project Management: Develops proposal recommendations, action plans, and budgets for projects; allocates resources to get projects done; tracks and reports progress; communicates regularly with project team, management and customers; completes projects in a timely, effective and efficient manner.

  Know the Customer and the Market: Knows customers in the market territory; keeps up to date on key competitors; understands and is responsive to the needs and expectations of relevant customer segments; establishes effective working relationships with customers to gain respect and loyalty; identifies opportunities presented by changes and shifts in the marketplace.

  Salary Range

  $57,800 - 82,610

  This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
