Job Type: Full-time, exempt.
Work Location: This is a remote position, for anyone that is authorizedto work in the United States, and currently resides in the UnitedStates. Preference for candidates based in the Midwest of the UnitedStates.
Travel: Occasional travel, up to 25-40%
Compensation: \$54,000 to \$72,000 annually

What youll cultivate as a Field Group Lead: (Your responsibilities)
Maintain record of current locations of Field Teams/Individuals andassociated vehicles and equipment.
Manage the day-to-day functions of the Field Technicians with assistancefrom Field Operations leadership
Maintain accountability for field technicians delivering quality work inadherence to designated protocols, on schedule, and budget.
Partner with the SVP of Operations, Field Resource Manager, FieldBusiness Manager, and/or Program Managers to develop, optimize, andconvey schedules, processes, and best practices for individual fieldtechnicians.
Evaluate direct report travel arrangement mets and ensure they adhere topolicy and budget.
Promptly review submitted hours, ensure overtime hours are explicitlyapproved and/or directed in writing and in adherence to budget andschedule, and approve in advance of payroll processing deadline.
Conduct quarterly annual performance assessments and coordinate withleadership in determining corrective action, recognition, and learningand development needs.
Serve as the first point of contact for field technicians experiencingissues with equipment problems or breakage.
Provide advice and problem-solving support for field technicians.Elevate critical and recurring issues to leadership to collaborate indeveloping solutions.
Help to onboard, train, and coordinate in-field training for new fieldtechnicians.
Ensure field technicians receive adequate training and continuallyevaluate its effectiveness.
Support Field Operations departmental hiring, training, disciplining,and offboarding of employees.
Coordinate new customers and protocols with Program Managers and moni orthe correct protocol usage.
Work with Field Resource Manager and Inventory & Asset ManagementCoordinator to ensure the scheduled maintenance of vehicles, side bysides, ATVs, and trailers to ensure longevity and compliance.
Take on high-profile projects, demonstration plots, key influencers,etc.
Work with leadership to develop and promote best business and safetypractices and ensure appropriate use of company funds.
Practice and encourage the cultural concepts and values of EarthOptics:autonomy and accountability, information and intent, and recognition andrespect.
Occasional travel, sometimes on short notice, to support FieldTechnicians, conduct soil sample collection at field sites duringhigh-volume periods, and document new protocols and procedures.

2+ years of progressive work experience.
Previous supervisory experience and proven ability to motivate andmanage distributed teams.
