The Field Asset Protection Manager is the key position in the Asset Protection Department, and an important retail Support Partner. The FAPM is responsible for the protection of the brand across all sales channels by providing training and coaching to create a safe work environment, investigating incidents of fraud, theft, unknown Shrink, policy violations, allegations of wrongdoing, or any other activities that have or potentially could adversely affect the retail channel profitability. This role is responsible for the timely and comprehensive training of all District Managers, Human Resource Partners, Retail Store Managers, and Retail Store Associates on all elements of retail safety, security, store loss and inventory management practices for CHEF’STORE within their region, area, or market of responsibility. Store visits will be conducted by the FAPM to carry out audits, evaluate compliance to employee safety, merchandise protection, and physical security standards within each of their assigned store locations.
The Field Asset Protection Manager has been segmented as a Remote Region-based role, which means that one must travel to multiple sites as needed and live within the assigned Region which is the Southeast (near or within the following states NC, SC, VA, AZ, or MD).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, coordinate, and implement corporate Asset Protection strategies for all operating business units.
Provide Asset Protection, environmental health, and safety services to store operations.
Manage contract vendor services and expenses for the assigned areas.
Develop and maintain key relationships with internal executive management, law enforcement agencies, governmental compliance agencies (local and State) and other professional organizations.
Collaborate with cross functional groups to ensure process compliance with all corporate program standards and achieve maximum results.
Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
Oversee investigations involving theft, fraud, policy violations, crimes against people/property, drug abuse, and human resources related matters as required.
Manage documentation, evidence collection and retention, and testimony in support of investigations, enabling the company to make well-informed decisions.
Assist in the management and maintenance of Asset Protection systems, case management, Exception reporting, CCTV, etc.
Provide ongoing training, development, and presentations in Asset Protection for Store Managers.
Maintain Emergency Guidelines binder for Store Operations.
Conduct shrink investigations in shrink challenged stores.
Communicate all incidents to the Direct of Asset Protection

Internal: The incumbent is required to interact with all employees at all levels of responsibility throughout the company.
External: The incumbent is required to interact with customers and other service providers including Alarm Vendors, Uniformed Security Services, Locksmith Services, CCTV services, Shopping Cart Services, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years’ operating experience in the retail or public sector
4+ years of Retail loss prevention experience /or retail fraud investigation and reporting
Proven ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information.
Exhibit solid understanding of individual and department goals as well as an in-depth understanding of business operations.
Knowledge of computers with the ability to learn the CHEF’STORE proprietary software and applications utilized to perform duties.
Must have valid driver's license and ability to drive a vehicle.
Ability and willingness to travel and stay overnight as necessary (air travel may be required)
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays appropriate to retail business as needed.
Travel: 50%-75%
Certifications/Training
CPP, CFI, LPC and WZ certifications highly desirableLicenses

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and General public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Ability to use Microsoft Office software, (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of POS systems and exception software such as Agilence, XBR, and Retail Expert is highly desirable.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
