  Job Overview

  The Field Application Engineer will be Responsible to support the sales team with Pre Sales Service, technical field support and Training with focus in MV Cable Accessories, Raysulate and Connectors used in Distribution, Substation and Transmission Networks

  The FAE is the customer-facing technical engineering and application consultant for accounts in a defined territory and/or a specific industry. The FAE is expected when developed to provide customer support in all technical and commercial related topics in connection with TE products, and lead and facilitate application-level discussions at their assigned customers.

  Successful candidate will need to travel extensively in region. Frequency could be as high as 50% of the time travelling.

  What your background should look like:

  Key tasks of the job:

  ·Support, when necessary, customers to install TE Low and Medium voltage Cable Accessories and Connectors up to 46 kV

  ·Assist in on-site MVCA and/or supervise the installation of TE MVCA.

  ·To help to generate demand & specify TE products by Trainings, Presentations, Seminars, etc.

  ·To prepare and implement a consistent training plan (MVCA, Raysulate and Ampact) for end users and distributors with focus on major territories aligned with the region sales growth plans.

  ·To Manage the training data base, installers evaluations and related resources

  ·To understand very well the TE Energy portfolio and help internal and external customers to select the right products.

  ·Participation in the definition of the technical solutions in accordance with customer and product specifications and recommends actions to company or customer representative for product solutions.

  ·When needed work hand to hand with the Product Managers and Product Specialists to define the Bill of Materials for customer solutions at the Cable Accessories area.

  ·Help the Product Managers and Product Specialists in the PII’s creation / review / maintenance.

  ·Generate, prepare and present TE proposals (e.g., product selection, design solutions, product specifications, project objectives).

  Experience required:

  ·Experience:Overall experience not less than 3 years. Previous experience in sales (preferred) and engineering (required).

  Qualifications & specialist training required:

  · Degree: Electrical Engineer. If possible complemented by a degree in Administration or Sales.

  ·Foreign Language:Fluent in Spanish and Mid-Level English

  ·Skills:Capable to give technical and sales presentations / good communication. Must be capable to specify products and discuss technically with the customer applications.

  •Technical/Field background is preferable.

  •Grid Modernization - Smart Grid Technology knowledge desirable.

  •Able to carry out field demonstrations of products and customers hands-on training.

  ·Potential to grow in the organization in the future as Account Manager/ASM role

  Particular skill / aptitude required:

  ·Demonstrated manual work ability

  ·Knowledge of basic cable technology: handling of cables, preparation of cable elements, connecting conductors.

  ·General technical skills in understanding product installation instructions, technical drawings and documents

  ·Friendly behavior, having power of persuasion and ability to assert himself.

  ·Being willing to travel inland and abroad. Flexibility in working days and travelling required.

  ·Valid driver’s license desirable.

  ·Product and Industry knowledge

  ·Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.

  ·Excellent oral and written communication skills

  ·Straight forward, personable, active.

  ·Desire to work in a growth-oriented environment.

  ·Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plans.
