Description
We are seeking a self-starter to drive revenue generation in with some of AWS's largest Global Aerospace and Defense Partners. The role requires a team player with focus on increasing awareness and adoption of Amazon Web Services by engaging with internal stakeholders and customers directly to reinvent their IT strategy and mode of mission delivery by adopting and delivering cloud computing solutions.
As a Partner Account Manager for Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the exciting opportunity to be on a team that will shape and deliver a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon’s utility computing web services including Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon Amazon RDS, Amazon etc.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Develop a growing book of business as part of a sales team.
Drive business and technical relationships and close business by helping to define, identify, and pursue key opportunities.
Establish deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customer’s mission and the environment.
Have day-to-day interactions with these customers and extended account team.
Have both a sales and technical background that enables you to successfully manage a high volume of activity, as well as experience establishing credibility with decision makers.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as it relates to cloud computing, while understanding and identifying opportunities for customers
Manage time efficiently, meet personal goals, and work effectively with other members of the sales and marketing team.
Work with partners to extend reach drive adoption
Ensure customer satisfaction

Basic Qualifications
1+ years of technology related sales or business development experience.
1+ years of metrics and quota obtainment
BA/BS degree
Preferred Qualifications
A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
sales experience with Defense, DoD customers or other Public Sector customers including US Federal, Intelligence, or State Local Government
Experience with CRM (Salesforce.com preferred).
Strong technical skills.
Proven track record of metrics and quota obtainment.
