Government & Public Services Federal Health Risk Manager
The Government & Public Services (GPS) Risk Management Team is currently seeking a full-time dedicated Risk Manager for our Federal Health sector with a primary focus within the Federal space. The Federal Health Risk Manager will be responsible for supporting Deloitte Consulting's GPS practice. Candidates should have experience managing complex professional services engagements, preferably for Federal clients. Below is a detailed list of responsibilities for this role:
Guidance and support to senior business leaders within the firm
Assist engagement and account leadership in managing and addressing significant client, contract and delivery issues when they arise
Serve as liaison between Principals, Directors, and Senior Managers of the firm and the Office of General Counsel, Contracts, Office of National Independence and other Deloitte internal groups
Advise engagement leadership on potential quality and risk management issues, including delivery risk, avoiding conflicts of interest, and negotiating with subcontractors and prime contractors
Facilitate internal compliance with contract terms, risk management policies and procedures, and management directives
Proposal process
Conduct risk reviews for higher risk engagements; work with bid leadership to develop approaches to manage and mitigate identified risks
Consult and advise firm Principals and Managing Directors when proposed legal terms deviate from Deloitte standard terms (e.g., Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Contracts and Subcontracts)
Interpret contract requirements and obligations and provide guidance to engagement teams
Delivery Risk Management
Assist engagement teams in mitigating risks and resolving issues, particularly when issues escalate to involve legal or contractual problems; work in close collaboration with the Office of General Counsel and Contracts
Analyze and assess potential impacts associated with delivery risks
Assist in client negotiations to resolve contractual issues
Provide guidance to mitigate project risks, adjust contract requirements to accommodate changing project circumstances, and manage expectations to contractual obligations and agreed upon performance standards
Interpret requirements of the contract
Qualifications:
Required
10 years of experience with managing risks on client engagements
5 years of Federal professional services experience
Experience managing large or complex Federal consulting engagements and identifying and mitigating the associated risks
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred
Experience with complex Information Technology implementations and service contracts
Experience with leading, mentoring, and influencing teams (direct or indirect resources)
Experience with building "trusted business advisor" relationships and working collaboratively, while challenging others' thinking in a respectful way
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $176,000 to $294,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
