It offers an escape from the everyday by immersing its audience in the best of the British countryside. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Features Editor manages the schedule, budget and workflow of the features department, ensuring all stories, from snappy environmental news to beautifully shot artisan interviews, are produced to the highest possible standard and in a timely, cost-effective manner. As a key member of a dynamic and driven team, the features editor will be expected to come up with innovative ideas for all platforms, print and digital, and see them through. This exciting position involves commissioning, writing and editing, as well as ensuring the section is on track. Join us at an exciting time in our evolution as a brand.
ABOUT YOU
Proven track record of editing and commissioning across different platforms Demonstrable experience working as a features editor, deputy features editor or senior subeditor A deep understanding of the Country Living audience and what makes the brand stand out from the competition A passion for topics covered in Country Living - from crafts and rural businesses to sustainability and wildlife Strong visual skills, with an ability to conceive 360o packages, from videos to events A committed team player Excellent contacts with PRs, publishers and writers An eye for new ideas and innovation, including spotting commercial opportunities and brand collaborations Ability to forge and maintain excellent working relationships with all teams across the Homes' hub, including the Country Living Marketplace and commercial teams Ability to thrive and keep calm under pressure A highly diplomatic manner Exceptional organisational skills and ability to set and keep to deadlinesWHAT WE OFFER
