Workers are neededto plant, maintain and harvest various vegetable crops, greenhousetomatoes and strawberries. Workers must have a working knowledge of andability to perform various tasks required in greenhouse tomatoproduction, including, seeding, planting, harvesting, suckering,lowering, clipping, harvesting and thinning. Workers will perform fieldwork including, planting, transplanting, weeding, thinning, hoeing andother tasks required in the planting, maintaining, and harvesting ofvarious vegetable and berry crops. Workers will sort, wash, pack andotherwise prepare various crops for storage and shipping, as well astransport and deliver various crops from field to farm and/or retailstand. Workers will load and unload trucks and other farm vehicles,setup and operate various irrigation equipment, and cut brush and othervegetation in and around fields, buildings and equipment. Workers willoperate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers fromhousing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools,supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around thefarm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reachfarmer\'s fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank,or laundry facilities on an as-needed basis. Driver\'s License may berequired. Workers must be able to work in various extreme weatherconditions from damp and cold spring and fall days to hot and humidsummer days. Work is physically demanding requiring workers to stand,bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time. Workers must beable to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Workers mustbe available for work Monday through Saturday. Daily beginning andending times will vary depending on crop and other conditions. Theemployer will furnish to workers without cost all tools and equipmentrequired to perform assigned duties. Workers may require to work 10hours shift within the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm from Monday throughSaturday. Workers will be given 30 minutes for lunch and a 15-minutebreak in the morning or afternoon. Workers must be able to takedirection in simple English.
