Hitachi Energy is seeking a skilled Facility and Maintenance Manager to join our dynamic team in beautiful Bland, VA. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in facility management, maintenance planning, and a proven track record of implementing lean principles to enhance operational efficiency.
This role will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation, safety, and maintenance of our facility and production equipment. You will lead a team of maintenance personnel, develop, and implement maintenance strategies, and work closely with site managers to optimize the performance and condition of our plant.
Your Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, and subcontractors to maintain site equipment and optimize facility performance.Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance the team's skills and productivity.Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy, ensuring optimal facility and production equipment performance.Establish preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment life.Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective maintenance practices and resource allocation.Identify cost-saving opportunities and work with supply change to negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.Ensure our facility complies with relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations.Maintain records of compliance and work with regulatory agencies as necessary, and ISO standards.Oversee and manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers.Ensure quick and effective response to urgent maintenance issues.Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, costs, and equipment inventory.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) and 5 or more years of experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
