Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Facilities Team conduct facilities and property administration, office planning, corporate leasing and/or real estate coordination. They work closely and provide advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facility constructions or modifications or leasing and real estate activities.
PRIMARY PURPOSE
To repair and maintain all company plant as directed by the Facilities Leader and to assist with the upkeep of general building services. The post holder is expected to be flexible in a demanding position there will be times when this role will require overtime working at short notice.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Carry out planned preventative maintenance procedures in order to ensure general Safety & Environmental compliance of the buildings and plant.
Complete time sheets and work instructions and to supply them to the Facilities manager on a weekly basis.
Carry out repairs to property in a cost effective and efficient manner thereby minimising loss of production time.
Assist in the installation of new plant & machinery as directed by the Facilities Leader.
Observe Health & Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation.
Assist in departmental re-organisations as and when required.
Complete training programmes as requested by the company.
Carry out site external maintenance as instructed.
Complete decorating when needed.
Support with Fabrication tasks as required.
Assist with Machine installations.
perform any other reasonable task as the company requires from time to time.
Complete general yard duties
Carry out chemical storage and safe disposal

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimal Supervision of tasks – the post holder is expected to be fully conversant with maintenance and safety procedures.
All decisions will be based upon personal skills, judgement and knowledge, often of a highly specialised nature.
Must have the ability to work without close supervision and use initiative to make decisions in order for production to continue until a superior can be consulted.
Work can be of a complex nature requiring high levels of concentration, sometimes in a noisy and dirty environment
Communicate at all levels with all departments within the company and externally. Must present a professional and knowledgeable image
Good general education required.
Good all-round general appreciation of plant and building services is expected.
Good hand-skills,
Polite helpful nature.
