San Diego Humane Society is hiring a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician for our Oceanside Campus!

What you’ll do:
Perform preventative maintenance throughout the facility and on the equipment.
Maintain, install, and repair plumbing systems throughout the facility. Janitorial work as needed. Respond to maintenance emergencies.
Inspect building, facilities, and equipment to ascertain needed repairs, make or recommend repairs or alterations as needed.
Arrange for service with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other vendor specialties when appropriate
Willingly assist the public and other staff in all shelter programs and special events.
What we’re looking for:
Requires High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of three (3) years of full-time related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience working in a maintenance related capacity required.
Experience working with heating, air-conditioning, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or related building trades required.
Knowledge and proper use of hand and power tools related to job functions required.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be approved by SDHS insurance carrier to drive a company or personal vehicle for work purposes.
Location & Hours:Based at our Oceanside Campus, with expected travel between campuses. This position works a 4/10 Alternative Work Schedule.
Pay:Starting range is between $22.08-24.84 per hour. The hourly rate is determined by your related education and experience.
