Here’s the Gist:
Maintains and repairs the facility’s electrical equipment, including performing a high degree of problem identification and troubleshooting assignments. Works with electrical engineering in the installation or repair of building electrical equipment required in the production process. Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary. Works from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.The ideal Electrical Facilities Maintenance Technician will be able to perform a high degree of problem identification and troubleshooting assignments and participate effectively in a team environment.
This technician will work a 12-hour 6am – 6pm or 6pm-6am schedule, and will work at our main campus in Marcy NY.
The Day-to-Day
Perform daily inspections on equipment throughout facilityInstall, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systemsPerform general electrical maintenance and read technical diagrams and blueprintsInspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical componentsTroubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of testing devicesRepair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixturesResponding to emergency equipment failures and work in a team to solve complications Assisting other departments with issues that arise Maintain paperwork complete work orders (CMMS)Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment as scheduled
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
Associate’s degree, trade certification or 10 years of experience as an electrical technician performing electrical repairs in a manufacturing environment Working knowledge of AC/DC motors and experience with medium voltage up to 34,500 VACAbility to read electrical schematics, perform troubleshooting/repairs Critical spare parts managementAbility to organize work and meet deadlinesStrong verbal and written communication skills; write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to perform mathematical functions in all units of measureAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Compensation Range:
$27.15 - $37.35
