2nd shift work time 4pm-2:30am - Monday- Thursday
This is a second shift position. The candidate will be expected to work 2nd shift for 12 to 24 months of employment. Other opportunities for first shift employment would be set apart from this job requisition on an apply and compete basis as opportunities become available. This position includes a salary premium over and above the base salary offered as a result of second shift support.

You will work on the Production floor interacting with Production personnel and other Functional groups to ensure the F-16 Viper aircraft is built and delivered to our Customers. The primary function as a Senior F-16 Block 70/72 Production Liaison Engineer will include detail fabrication support, sub-assembly, component assembly, and mate through delivery operations. Additionally, this job will require complete understanding of F-16 design drawings for the Block 70/72 upgrade and to support the Planning tasks as the production planning is created.
Other responsibilities include:
• Supporting the on-site Material Review Board (MRB) engineers to include anomaly investigation, technical solution development and coordination with the MRB engineers as they prepare and release dispositions related to discrepancies on F-16 Block 70/72 aircraft detail parts, assemblies, installations and finishes.
• This position requires skills which support Airframe Design Engineering for Modification programs and use of technical expertise for aircraft structural design and subsystems installations.
• The selected candidate will have a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field of
aircraft structure design.
• Will be responsible for tasks in support of design layout and detail modeling of aircraft structure and assemblies using CATIA V5 and CADDAM, participating in trade studies, creating and maintaining interface control drawings, and coordination with Integrated Product Teams.
• Represents the engineering organization as a senior technical contact and requires coordination across many functional areas and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics sites, including Stress, Quality Assurance, Planning, Functional Test, Structures and Systems Design, Safety, Materials & Processes and Flight Sciences.
• Will work closely with the production floor, support process improvements, incorporate best practices into daily operations, and coordinate lessons learned and corrective action. Must possess experience with making timely decisions and the ability to perform research individually to provide engineering dispositions to an active Production Line.

Basic Qualifications:
--STEM Related Bachelors Degree
--Experience Interpreting/Releasing Drawings
--Experience with aircraft structure and design
Desired Skills:
--Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred.
--Fighter Jet Production Engineering experience
--CATIA V5 and CADAM experience
--Stress Analysis experience
--F-16 Fighter Jet Production Engineering Experience
--Excellent writing and communication skills
--Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
--Experience in Aerospace Design or Production Engineering.
--Ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks
--Research of the structural configuration impact(s) to F-16 Block 70/72 aircraft using Lockheed Martin’s engineering databases (Multi-Program Release System MPRS, MPRSII, Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), etc) to determine current configuration, effectivity, and next higher assembly for applicable drawings.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
