Discover Financial Services is looking for an Information Security Analyst to join their Cyber Capabilities and Services team to support the organizations’ goal of optimizing the analysis of security events and integrating technologies. Its intent is to ensure consistency and continuity of incident identification, analysis, triage, and escalation. Strong Collaboration with incident handling, Threat, and response teams to decrease risk to the organization by improving upon defensive, detective, and response-related cybersecurity capabilities. You will create meaningful, actionable outputs to improve detection and prevention capabilities.
Responsibilities
Research innovative solutions which enable rapid analysis and response to security incidents at the enterprise scale.
Lead the design and development of security solutions and processes consistent with Cyber security program goals
Provides program subject matter expertise to influence Cyber-led security optimization initiatives.
Drives strategies for automating Incident workflow, aligning to industry best practices where applicable
Leads the advancement of defensive capabilities and integration for the cybersecurity program and its subsequent ability to defend the Discover network
Bring industry and DFS environment of Cloud knowledge to mature SIIRT’s ability to handle threats related to cloud and container technologies.
Delivers presentations to senior and executive leadership audiences.
Contributes thought leadership and technical solutions back into the investigative community at a local and global level.
Publishes technical articles for general knowledge sharing throughout the Enterprise
Enriches team value by creating training and knowledge sharing opportunities
Utilize knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
Bachelors – Computer Science, Information Security or related
6+ Years – Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Data Analytics or related
In lieu of a degree 8+ Years – Information Security, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related
Internal applicants only: technical proficiency rating of expert on the Dreyfus cybersecurity scale
Preferred Qualifications
Cyber Incident handling experience with diverse vendor tools and services
Experience automating and enhancing incident workflows
MITRE ATT&CK Framework
GIAC (GCIH or GCIA or GCTI)GIAC
OSCP
Python, Scripting language

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
