Position Overview
Airframe Service Engineering team serves as the single technical face of Boeing to the Customer and to: expeditiously resolve customer Service Requests (SRs); provide FAA compliance documentation; and report, analyze, and resolve safety events and issues. The Airframe Service Engineering team strives to mitigate and prevent future Service Requests (SRs) and increase operational safety and reliability by developing/adding repairs to the Structural Repair Manual (SRM) and completing Service Related Problems (SRPs).
Boeing India Engineering is currently looking for the Experienced Product Review Engineer (Service Engineering) to join the team in Bangalore, India. This position will focus on providing 24/7 support to Boeing commercial airplane customers. This position offers a unique opportunity to work complex technical challenges in support of safety operation and return to service.
A successful candidate will understand and resolve structural issues related to in-service airplanes. The candidate performs Material Review Board (MRB) activities supporting end-users in a customer support role and work with the Aerospace-related Integrated Product Team (IPT). Prepares structural repair dispositions and data required to show compliance with Boeing, customer and regulatory requirements, to maintain continued airworthiness/mission capability.
Position Responsibilities:
Applies knowledge of Boeing design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle.
Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis and develops dispositions for design non-conformances.
Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions.
Identifies documents, analyzes reported problems and communicates deviations that could impact design intent and safety; recommends and manages resolution.
Fundamental understanding of in-service manuals, allowable damage limits and acceptable minor deviations (Structural Repair Manual, Component Maintenance Manual, etc.)
Designs interim structural repairs and conducts simple static strength analysis.
Develops and implements product/process improvements.
Supports Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participates in design reviews.
Represents the engineering community in the build through post production environment.
Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards.
Develops non-destructive test procedures, tools and standards. Conducts simple static strength analysis.
Willing to support a 24/7 on-call rotation schedule and the ability to work variable shifts, including weekends or overtime.

Being a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within Boeing and external partners.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is required as basic qualification in Mechanical/Aerospace/Applied Mechanics/Structural engineering along with 9+ years of proven experience in Product Review Engineering.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
9 or more years of experience in structures engineering.
Experience with airworthiness regulatory agencies.
Experience in post-production environment or a production MRB engineer.
Experience in repair disposition of composite structure.
Analyzes damage repair or structural modification to determine appropriate jacking and shoring, prevent collateral damage and assure a safe work environment.
Experience supporting end users in a customer service role.
Experience supporting end users in a customer service role.
Experience with static analysis
5 or more years of experience working with MRB (Material Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures.
Experience working transport category airplane certification or production/fleet support projects involving FAA approval.
Experience in repair disposition of composite structure.
Typical Education & Experience:
Typical 9 to 12 years of related work experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) required.Export Control Requirements: Not an export control position
