Boeing has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Leadership, Employee and Site Communications Specialist to join our Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) team in Mesa, AZ.

Position Responsibilities:
Designs, develops and executes comprehensive and measurable communications plans and branding strategies tailored to support key business objectives related to the Vertical Lift division and sites in Mesa, Arizona and Ridley Park, Pennsylvania
Promotes the sites and site tenants to internal and external audiences, and connects the dots regarding key business decisions and campaigns
Positions Boeing as a leader in vertical lift
Provides executive communications counsel, training and support on issues, risks and opportunities to the site leadership teams and assists with communications for the leader of the Vertical Lift division
Employs a ‘drumbeat’ approach to communications, with a regular, planned cadence of deliverables that supports internal and external approaches
Identifies content and appropriate production resources and techniques to produce compelling internal/external communications and co-marketing activities and defines channel strategies
Builds, manages, measures and continuously updates site and employee and leader engagement plans that include regular internal and external events and activities; promotes engagements, surveys results and modifies plans as necessary
Develops and employs collateral materials and supports activities, including webcast, social, web, print and graphic approaches
Manages effective media relations in collaboration and coordination with the Media Relations team by planning the promotion of stories to key media and evaluating the merit of media inquiries about program activities
Anticipates, plans and manages communications plans on issues facing the sites and division – serves as the site crisis comms focal and assists with relevant communications
Prepares and supports Boeing leadership for external and internal speaking engagements on site and/or divisional topics
Supports communications aspects around high profile visits by company and customer leaders
Measures and analyzes metrics to ensure the effectiveness of communications plans and tactics
Reflects the Boeing Values and serve as a model representative of the highly collaborative Boeing Communications function

Senior leadership email messages
Security & Fire Protection Incident Management Team (IMT) and Policy Advisor Group (PAG) member
Weather/site impact notifications
Diversity and inclusion action plans, localization of enterprise initiatives
Time sensitive employee safety and facilities notifications
Support for VIP visits
Site internal websites and contributions to external social pages (as applicable)
Major site townhall/employee meetings with senior leadership
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Currently the team is onsite 3-4 days a week and follows a 9/80 schedule, though responsiveness is required on “off” Fridays.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher
3+ years of experience developing and managing complex, multi-channel communication plans about highly technical products and programs
3+ years of experience developing integrated marketing campaigns
Experience working with external media
Experience providing counsel to senior executives and other leaders
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of communications work experienceTypical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: $80,750 - $109,250
