The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking an experienced cloud software engineer to become a part of our team. We are working with our government partner to develop and maintain an extensive digital engineering ecosystem in the cloud. Our team will be responsible for developing and maintaining systems, tools and software to support the various data needs of our customer and partners. This includes implementing and supporting the data management plan, providing secure access to data and systems as required, working with platform and other teams to engineer appropriate infrastructure, and developing supporting tools and software as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 6 years of related experience (more preferred)
Experience developing applications for one or more cloud providers (AWS GovCloud preferred)
Strong application development experience with an emphasis on cloud native solutions
Applied understanding of Containerization, Virtualization and Networking
Understanding of applying DevSecOps principles to development
Experience with databases and cloud data storage
Ability to develop APIs and use 3rd Party APIs
Understanding of security best practices
Must be able to work effectively independently, as part of a team, and work with partners
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
US citizenship required along with the ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Government security clearance
Some travel may be required
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise with
Data Lakes, Data Warehouses and Big Data tools and strategies
AWS tech stack
Have a current U.S. Government security clearance
