About Executive Director, Global Human Health Employee and Leadership Communications

  Job Description

  The Executive Director, Global Human Health Employee and Leadership Communications is responsible for overseeing the development of comprehensive communications strategies that support the Global Human Health executive leadership and that drive engagement, inspiring employees to lean into our purpose of using the power of leading-edge science to save and improve lives around the world.

  Reporting to the VP, Global Human Health & our company's manufacturing Communications, this leader will oversee the design and development of highly strategic communications plans that successfully support the Global Human Health division's executive leaders and the achievement of its business objectives. This leader will ensure appropriate use of executive voices as well as utilize the internal communications channels to inform and engage employees.

  Scope of work and core responsibilities include:

  Oversee implementation of internal and executive communications strategies to strengthen our Company's Global Human Health reputation and brand with employeesManage team of talented communicators as they support our divisional executive leaders with the development of presentations, speeches and other significant organizational-wide messagesDevelop and implement change management communications strategies ensuring they are implemented consistently with each of the divisional executive leadersEnsure consistent and timely information to employees through various communications programs and channels, including town halls, webcasts, videos, emails, internal social platforms and the division's intranetRecommend and execute best practices to help shape the employee experience and the Human Health cultureUtilize metrics to monitor and report on the value of communications strategies and tactics as related to enhancing the employee experience and engagementCreate clear and inspirational content for internal communications channels related to key engagement initiativesWork collaboratively with the Global Human Health product communications team and across Corporate Affairs

  Required Qualifications:

  At least 10 years of communications experience with a focus in employee engagement, corporate and executive communications (including speech writing)Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership roleProven experience confidently interacting with and counseling corporate executives and key internal partnersProven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously, including success managing major projects and enterprise-wide initiativesStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels and functions within an organizationStrong writing, editing and communications skills across multiple media, including speeches, email, video scripts, editorial and social contentCreative thinker, positive attitude under pressure, and passionate about building cultureOrganized with attention to detailExceptional business acumen with agility in a fast-paced environmentProactive with ability to "see" around corners and anticipate needs of our executivesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Experience in public relations, external engagement and corporate reputation a plusExperience in healthcare industry, including large Fortune 500 companies, preferredExperience at a PR agency or equivalent welcome

  U.S. Hybrid Work Model

  Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Please note, this Hybrid work model guidance also does not apply to roles that have been designated as "remote".

  Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

  Expected salary range:

  $213,280.00 - $335,700.00
