PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:
The Executive Director (ED) will develop and oversee best in class social, creator, community & new media programs for the Center of Excellence (CoE) to elevate brand awareness, drive engagement and drive further consideration/conversion via social and digital marketing. As a social & digital leader, the ED will innovate ELC's global creator and new media strategy positioning our brand-lead portfolio as a leader in this space, ensuring that:
• ELC proactively and strategically tests and scales in all key existing and new media social channels, accelerating the global creator network framework/measurement and leveraging key KPI's/findings, insights, data/analytic and social trends to drive the CoE.
• The ED will lead and drive change management in global processes to source more creators/influencers/KOL's to provide content outside of branded-led assets, collaborate with social commerce to test new agencies to support livestreams/commerce and develop more social content for evergreen and cultural moments.
• This role will also lead the relationships with our global creator & social media partners within TikTok, Google, Meta, Snap, and Pinterest maximizing their partnership to develop activations that best-fit the platforms and channels.
• Oversee the new social/new media CoE ensuring creator / digital frameworks are data enabled and performance driven.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the global creator house project and new media CoE strategy, framework and playbooks for our Global social channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Meta etc) + cascade strategies and forward-facing initiatives and benchmarks with cross-functional, regional, and local teams.
• Oversee CoE social / new media team, ensuring cross functional requirements are audited across brand, regions, and markets
• Lead collaboration with Brands, Regional and market partners to streamline the social media practice across all regions, ensuring strategies, guidelines, best practices are shared so that strategic choices are aligned on their investment and platforms
• Ensure ELC is consistently, creatively, and proactively engaging creators, influencers, and advocates across social media to drive brand conversations and advocacy.
• Rapidly accelerate our creator strategy on TikTok
• Track community growth, beauty trends/news with momentum on social media and brainstorm new content ideas, to stay relevant social media cultural moments
• Manage all social media CoE analytics and work in partnership regions to strategize & formalize reporting across channels
• Collaboarate with Social Comerce team to align on strategy and execution roadmap
• Create playbooks, conduct training, drive internal communication and create materials for quarterly summits.
• Prepare quarterly reports and executive communication.
Core Competencies:
• Global experience, preferably with agency background and deep knowledge of social media, the creator landscape and data/anyaltics measurement platforms.
• Consumer-driven approach to lead brand effort in putting consumers, influencers, and advocates at the center of its social media strategy.
• Strong ability to interpret and translate global brand strategies and equity - as well as beauty and lifestyle trends - into daily social media / new media recommendations.
• Ability to navigate among multiple brand/regional constituents, platforms, and communities to ensure strategies/goals are understood and met.
• Ability to interface with senior leaders in the organization in times of escalation inclusive of PM, PR, GCC, Legal and Brand President.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Strong quantitative skills.
• Pop culture savvy to identify new media trends and key communities that we can target within our social media framework.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
• BA/BS Degree required.
• 10+ years' experience, including at least 5 years specifically in social media (agency experience a plus)
• Measurement and data analytics background
• Energetic self-starter, with an active daily life in online and social media
• Collaborative relationship builder with demonstrated experience building strong partnerships and working cross-functionally
• Ability to multi-task, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, global organization
• Excellent communication skills, including strong leadership communication and presentation skills
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Branding/beauty/fashion/entertainment experience a must
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $149,500 - $257,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results, as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
