Job Description:
The Executive Director, Client Success will be a senior and experienced leader responsible for managing the teams executing the build, launch, and maintenance of WSJ Barrons Group's multifaceted digital advertising and live event partnerships. You will ensure client satisfaction that drives renewals and enables revenue growth.
You are customer service-focused, a problem-solver, and a manager of people and programs. Experience managing a team of account/project managers and working collaboratively with internal leaders is vital to success in this role, as is an understanding of digital media & advertising, custom content production, live event sponsorship, and digital performance marketing.
The Executive Director, Client Success will report directly to the SVP of Digital Operations & Client Success, with a dotted line reporting to the SVP, The Trust.
You Will:
Oversee the teams that manage custom content deals, ensuring custom components are seamlessly developed and key program and content KPIs are met.
Oversee the team that manages the successful execution of newsled and custom event sponsorships, partnering with production, programming and marketing teams to implement and deliver on sponsorship KPIs.
Ensure teams are working fluidly and collaboratively with the teams across Digital Operations, the Trust and Live Journalism to ensure success of advertising and events programs.
Continue to enhance and evolve the post-sale client experience, from client commitment to program recap across custom content, digital, and events.
Foster collaboration and creative problem solving for existing and new challenges. Troubleshoot, develop solutions, and escalate whether for team and program specific issues.
Ensure teams are driving client return on investment through delivery of program KPIs.
Ensure client satisfaction throughout all program touchpoints, working with Sales and Digital Operations to address any challenges that arise.
Continue to evolve and enhance WSJ BG's performance narrative approach, ensuring program measurement and metrics are clearly communicated to clients throughout the campaign.
Ensure program recap conversations are driving renewal opportunities and resulting in opportunity for revenue growth.
Bring together all departments/channels and respective staff for smooth operations of the account
Be the senior-level client contact, when necessary, responsible for the performance and success of a program
Recruit, retain, and develop talent across the team. Ensure leaders of Client Success are offering career coaching, career pathing and constructive feedback to all employees.
Continue to align with Executive Leadership on priorities for the Client Success team, developing and meeting key metrics and objectives
You Have:
12-15 years experience in Digital Operations, Account Management, or Sales
Significant prior experience working with digital publishers and advertising clients
Lead a team with strong management and previous successful experience supervising employees
Take broad visions and concepts, develop structured plans, actions and assess results through measurable metrics
Effectively work in a matrix organization
Affinity for complex and creative problem solving and the desire to create and build new processes;
Bachelors degree, preferred
