Job Description
The Executive Director will oversee all facility operations. This includes sales, nursing, health and wellness, maintenance, housekeeping, patient care, and dining. They will have 7 direct reports which oversee a specific aspect of the facility. Example: Sales Manager, Nursing Director, Health and Wellness Director, etc. The main focus to start is going to be working with the sales manager to increase facility occupancy. Right now they are right below 60% of a 95 unit facility with assisted living and memory care units. While occupancy is down, they have not struggled with resident attrition. They will be in charge of leading people and rebuilding the cohesive nature. They will also be responsible for building trust with residents and their families. This facility is well established and they will be joining a company that has set trainings and procedures for a new Executive Director. There is strong regional support in place and lots of opportunity for growth at the facility.
Skills and Requirements
3-5 years Executive director level experience (open to skilled nursing or hospitality if not senior living)
Strong sales driver (sometimes when Medicare is driving sales)
Bachelors degree (preferred) -Senior living background
-Texas certification of facility manager (CALM) heavy plus
-certified dementia practitioner (cdp) null
