Our Team: Medidata is looking for individuals who will help us tackle some of the most complex questions facing the industry today using our proprietary platform and advanced analytics. At Medidata, we never work alone. This role will partner heavily with all of the key stakeholder functions including product, delivery, data science, engineering, partnerships, and biostatistics. Successful Medidata AI candidates will be skilled in analytical/quantitative thinking, structured communication, and excited about building the next horizon of Medidata's mission to power smarter treatments and healthier people.
Who we're looking for:
Medidata Executive Assistants (EAs) are skilled Admin Professionals who are responsible for performing administrative duties of advanced degrees of complexity for the assigned Executive (coverage may be up to four executives). The EAs have customary responsibilities such as managing correspondence which is often of a confidential nature, preparing research, screening incoming phone calls and mail, communication on behalf of the Executive, and acting as the "gatekeeper;" as well as handling more complicated special projects such as coordination of complex meetings. In keeping with these duties, EAs are required to develop an acute understanding of the Executives' work style and requirements, and to utilize this understanding to decide which scheduled events, meetings, and requests are most appropriate for allocation of the Executive's time. EAs are expected to accept the delegation of less consequential executive tasks, to perform those tasks with minimal disruption to the Executive, to actively listen and resolve problems, and to anticipate and meet the challenges of a fast-paced environment. In summary, Medidata EAs are expected to conform to the highest standards of performance, dependability, and professionalism. The role may be required to be in office up to three days a week and also flexibility with executive schedules and meetings.
Provide routine assistance to up to 4 Executives which includes, but is not limited to: Executive correspondence, electronic filing, creating and updating Contacts, and other logistical support needs of the ExecutivesCreate and maintain an inventory of critical path projects and high-priority business development activitiesMaintain calendar for the Executive using electronic calendaring systemRegularly organize meetings, appointments, conferences, and calls with both internal and external business partnersCoordinate complex meetings, assist in the design and preparation of presentations and other meeting materialsMaintain contact with Executives via company-issued mobile deviceArrange travel, prepare itineraries including air and ground transportation, hotel reservations, out of town dining, and car rentalsPrepare Executive expense reports and process Executive charge card reconciliationCreate and distribute reports germain to business operations.Assist in event planning and coordination for the Boston office, which may include but is not limited to holiday parties, happy hours, restocking for snacks/beverages and return to work initiativesProviding assistance to in-office staff including receiving catering, room booking, and general office questions Reconciliation of purchase orders for Executives
Requirements (Education & Experience):

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $88,000 to $95,433.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
