Job Summary:
This position provides executive level administrative support to the Associate Provost, performing daily office management tasks including, but not limited to, meeting arrangement, agenda and minutes preparation, preparing and compiling reports, receipt of visitors, and coordinating travel. A high level of confidentiality is expected as this position manages and prepares sensitive documents for the Associate Provost. Oversee and assist the Associate Provost in the management of department budget and occasionally grant budgets. A growth mindset, resourcefulness and excellent customer service are expected.
Required Qualifications:
Experience providing administrative support in an office setting.
Experience researching and preparing confidential and sensitive documents.
Requires demonstrated skills in organization and efficiency and the ability to organize and schedule various projects and activities.
Working knowledge of budget management and general office practices.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with calendaring in Microsoft Outlook.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with proven record of effective application in daily office operations.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of effective team, make decisions, maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written, verbal and non-verbal.
Proven ability to work with a diverse population.
Strong editing and proofreading skills.
Regularly update department website ensuring information is current and accurate
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of state and university policies and procedures.
Experience in higher education with experience in an office environment that works with confidential and sensitive information and situations.
Experience in website management.
Working knowledge of Banner and eVA
