Manufacturing Engineer:eVinci - this role is a hybrid role for our Cranberry PA facility until our facility in Etna PA opens for operations.

Your Day to Day:Support the transition from the manufacturing development phase to test reactor, and commercial manufacturing, for our innovative eVinci microreator.As a value engineer, you will be responsible for applying a systematic, organized approach to providing necessary functions in a project at the lowest cost. You will conduct research and analysis, review documentation, develop tools, and create and present cost models. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, and suppliers to identify and implement value engineering opportunities.Support and lead all elements of the value engineering process, for assigned components and systems. The process includes information gathering, brainstorming, evaluation, developing plans, presentation, and implementation.Coordinate Design for Manufacturability activities including design concept and option development, manufacturing process planning and cost estimation, for assigned components and systems.Coordinate and document manufacturability reviews, drawing / GD&T reviews, and manufacturing readiness level (MRL) assessments and maturation plans, in support of eVinci design development efforts.Creatively think of manufacturing process and materials modifications that challenge the team to consider the total value from the initial design requirements to the final product requirements.Identify and manage manufacturing, equipment and facility development efforts, schedule activities and associated costs for assigned components and systems.Work with supply chain to coordinate technical discussion, collect supplier manufacturability feedback, develop RFQ for lead-time and pricing, complete supplier technical assessment and development and complete manufacturing activities.Develop manufacturing requirements and specifications for vendor procured equipment, and work in partnership with design and materials engineering to develop material specifications.Create purchase requisitions to order materials, products and services.Create Commercial Grade Dedication Instructions with support from Design Engineering, Supplier Performance Engineering and Supplier Quality.Develop and maintain equipment cost estimates in support of eVinci cost modeling efforts.
