We are currently looking for an intern to join our team in our Brooklyn Park, MN office. This program will run from May 20 – August 2, 2024. This is a full-time opportunity involving 40 hours per week, at a payrate of $25.50/hour.

As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will contribute to our mission by working with the teams responsible for delivering product innovations to market.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Some projects our former interns have contributed to include:
3D printing specific components.
Developing SolidWorks models and assemblies.
Developing assembly aids, equipment specifications and manufacturing instructions.
Conducting research and providing improvement recommendations for existing processes.
Reviewing literature and conducting applicable product testing to aid in the design and development processes.
Evaluating manufacturing data using Microsoft Excel and other software.
Reviewing sales lead times and corresponding safety stock.
A typical day for you will include:
Collaborating with your supervisor and team to complete role-related assignments and projects.
Actively engaging in and adding value to meetings and discussions.
Engaging in other duties, as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education*:
Must be enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited 4-year institution.
Must complete sophomore year before the internship begins and graduate after the internship ends.
Preferred fields of study include Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience*:
Demonstrated ability to balance academic and extracurricular commitments (i.e. work experience, clubs, volunteer activities, teams, etc.).Skills*:
Required Skills:
Basic engineering knowledge.
Must possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Must be proficient and have practical knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must be able to work well within a team and independently at times with limited guidance.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
Basic understanding of prototyping process.
Experience with data analysis software.
Experience with root cause analyses.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize/execute multiple concurrent tasks.
Strong, professional communication skills.
Skilled in presentation development and public speaking.
General curiosity and a desire to learn new material.
