The Marketing department creates passion and relevance for the "Dolby Difference" driving sell-in and sell-thru of Dolby enabled devices, services, content, and experiences across multiple constituents - partners, creators, consumers, and developers.
Events & Experiences Intern
Responsibilities
This is a great opportunity to learn about all the exciting Dolby Experiences including Events and Executive Briefing Experiences held in San Francisco headquarters and beyond, and our Dolby Cinema, the premiere movie going experience at our global headquarters. The intern will learn to assist with the coordination of events for high profile internal and external partners, and the operations aspect of event activations. Among other tasks, the intern will: Help coordinate 1275 internal and partner events, including 1st floor atrium receptions and Dolby Cinema screenings. Assist with Studio, Academy, and film festival screenings. Help coordinate the implement off-site event activations, including executive awards event weekends and tradeshows. Assist with planning and logistics for Dolby 1275 Executive Briefing Experiences (EBX), including coordination of demonstrations, meetings, catering, and other logistics. Assist with basic Cinema, living room and mobile demo technology operations. Provide guidance and assist with 1275 events produced by every business and community organization throughout Dolby Laboratories. Assist with maintaining and continued optimization of operations process and procedures. Assist with event and activities metrics and reporting. Qualifications Strong written communications skills Experience and/or coursework in events, communications, marketing, or media Intellectual curiosity Comfort level with speaking to all levels of staff and management Interest in consumer technology and the entertainment industry including films and/or music a plus but not mandatory. Extraordinarily detail-oriented and organized. Photoshop, Excel, Smartsheet, AirTable, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint proficiency This position is based at our HQ in SF and requires in-person, on-site attendance. ELIGIBILITY
Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday - Friday for 6 months between May/June 2024 - December 2024.
Start date for the internship is as follows: (note these dates are not flexible)
The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $29-34/hr and can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
