Your role
Are you looking to become an Event Management professional? Are you driven by the desire to deliver exceptional event experiences for employees, clients and prospects?
We're looking for an Event Planner to:
• assist with planning 12- 20 signature events a year, both in-person and virtual, as well as support senior planners on larger projects
• collaborate with internal and external business partners to translate strategy into execution
• exhibit strong event protocol/process and production knowledge to develop and execute best in class events
• review hotel/venue/vendor/speaker contracts and task orders
• liaise with hotel/venue on menu selection, rooming list, function space set-up, audio visual, décor etc.
• assist with budget planning and tracking
• execute Web-based event nomination, registration development & attendee management
• assist with staffing plan and help manage on-site staff
• compile business results measurement and reporting post-event
• exhibit "can do" attitude and willingness to pitch in on all elements of event life cycle (packing/shipping, name badge printing, etc.)

Your team
You'll be working as part of the Field Engagement Team and partnering with groups across the firm to create impactful internal and client facing events. You will play a critical role in helping to train and retain our Financial Advisors as well as help to provide opportunities to Financial Advisors to strengthen their relationships with their clients.
Your expertise
• a university degree
• excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• strategic thinker, creative, pro-active, organized, innovative, measured and results-focused
• strong attention to detail
• comfortable in and with large groups
• ability to multi-task programs and projects in a fast-paced environment with short timeframes
• proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and web-based registration software
• ability to travel up to 30 percent of the time including occasional nights and weekends
• resourceful, partner with colleagues and be a culture carrier for the firm
