POLITICO Live - the live extension of POLITICO's journalism - is looking for an Event Associate/Project Manager U.K. for approximately 6 months to support the team programming and delivering newsworthy and timely events and summits in the UK, as part of POLITICO's expansion plan.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with different teams including editorial, marketing and sales, on an expanding and strategic portfolio of events and formats (summits, one-session events, political interviews, etc).
This is a full-time position located in London, United Kingdom, but might involve some travelling to Brussels.

What You'll Do
Program development and management
Oversee multiple events' day-to-day development and management including ensuring program is aligned with the newsroom and market needs Ensure that event programs are produced/signed off to deadline and are briefed to marketing and sales team to deadline
Research and content - UK focus
Support POLITICO Live's growth and expansion in the UK through key topic research, stakeholder mapping and competitive intelligenceAssist the Live Editor in conceptualizing newsworthy and timely events programs in the UK and identifying relevant themes and speakersSupport our U.K. sellers' strategies by understanding clients' content objectives through research calls and meetings
Client management
Manage client relationship and participate in kick off and debrief calls with sponsors, ensuring their KPIs are understood and metBe the main point of contact for regular communication with the client/sponsor
Speaker research, outreach, and management
Identify and recruit high-level speakersManage speaker liaison throughout the project development and onsite at the event Set up and lead speakers' pre-event briefing calls and post event communicationsCreate and update programs and microsites Ensure a constant update of the database throughout the production process
Logistics
Work closely with the Events Operations Manager (Brussels-based) to ensure a smooth delivery of high-quality onsite and online experienceKeep budgets updated Prepare notes and detailed agenda for event moderators Coordinate stage set up, catering, badges, distribution materials, hostesses
Marketing support
Prepare marketing briefsSupport preparing marketing creatives, content for emails, print & online materials
What You'll Need
2+ years of professional experience, proven track record in research and project management Good understanding of U.K. politics and the role of stakeholders in the decision-making process Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, to work independently and under pressure, with keen attention to detailsSelf-motivation and determination with a strong sense of personal initiative Ability to liaise with and coordinate high number of stakeholdersDeep commitment to deliver our events as an extension of our journalism and up to POLITICO's high standardsKnowledge of project management applications and CRM software is a plus
