Job Description
The Customer Experience and Support (CES) team in the Intel Ethernet Product Division (IEPD) is looking for a talented Ethernet Software Application Engineer with advanced Ethernet related product development and debugging experience.
The PAE acts as consultants and provides deep dive technical support to customers in Ethernet product development with remote backend support from division.
Significant contribution also includes roles as a product evangelist, program/project manager, and preparing collateral material as needed to deliver issue resolution and analysis.
Key Duties and responsibilities: provide advanced technical support to customers in Ethernet product development, from Ethernet controller, firmware, Driver, API/SDK, Protocols/network stack, from architecture/design review to power on, function validation and production.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, mathematics.)
Comprehensive network knowledge and working experience on network related product development/support.
Proven ability independently configure, debug and troubleshoot software and operating systems.
Fluent and effective communication, presentation, and documentation skills, both written and verbal in Mandarin and English
Self-motivated, multi-task effective, ability to work independently and also in teams.
Able to travel internationally.
Experience with following is needed:
Experience in network application/protocol, router, switch and network appliance development/configuration/management
Support experience to CSP/IPDC, MNC/OEM/ODM, Enterprise system designers/developers during design-in product life cycle.
Hands on experience with lab equipment as Spirent TestCenter/IXIA, etc.
Experience in development and documentation activities for customer applications and internal API's.
The following is a plus:
Knowledgeable in BIOS, BMC, FW, Manageability and PCIe
5+ years Experienced in Ethernet Controller/Switch driver and/or network application development.
Experience with Linux/VMware network management and tools, OpenStack, XDP, DPDK, OvS, RDMA/ROCE/IWARP, 4G/5G RAN, FPGA, STP, OSPF/BGP
Knowledgeable in Datacenter and Cloud infrastructures and operations, Virtualization, Cloud Computing and storage.
Experience with SoC silicon/product development.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
