Job Description
The Intel Ethernet Products team is looking for an experienced technical writer who can work with architects, application engineers and software developers to prepare technical and end user documentation for internal partners and external customers. As a technical writer you will be responsible for deliverables of substantial scope and complexity including:
Datasheets
External Product Specifications
Electrical Validation Reports
Hardware Architecture Specifications
Specification Updates
Release Notes
Technical Advisories
Application Notes
What you'll do as a Technical Writer
Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents, including hardware and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality.
Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for technical and non-technical users.
Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet product release dates and client deliverables.
Maintain a library of application documentation, cataloging it for internal and/or external use.
Maintain templates for written documentation produced by others i.e. technical specifications, customer facing, etc., ensuring a consistent look and feel.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Technical Communications or a related liberal arts program. Candidates with a background in Engineering or Computer Science may be considered as well.
Excellent writing skills combined with a technical background. Degreed engineers with excellent English skills and experience developing and maintaining documentation for factory processes or product support are encouraged to apply.
Minimum 2 years' experience as a technical writer comfortable with planning, schedule negotiation, task management, publication, and post-release updates.
Minimum 2 years' experience of industry-standard authoring tools such as Microsoft* Office and the Adobe* family of products
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with content management systems, version control best practices and HTML/XML workflows
DITA, Doxygen, and/or GitHub skills

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
