We are actively seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support and enable Intel Ethernet NIC products on a global scale. As a part of our team, you will dive into the diverse world of Ethernet, addressing customer use cases and contributing to the development of cutting-edge solutions in the 5G, VRAN, Cloud, and Edge domains.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Software Enabling and Optimization Engineer, you will play a crucial role in debugging and solving various customer use cases across the Ethernet industry and market. This is a unique opportunity to engage with the entire Ethernet portfolio at the product level, spanning hardware, firmware, and software stacks. You'll be part of a team dedicated to shaping the Internet of the future, making a significant impact on global connectivity.
Qualifications
What You Bring:
Problem-Solving Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multitasking, with a keen eye for organization and customer management skills.
Development Skills: Possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in C or C++ development/debugging, showcasing a deep understanding of these programming languages.
Customer Interaction: Showcase your experience in direct customer interaction within a technical support role, and exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for effective collaboration with customers of all skill levels.
Technical Proficiency: Exhibit a strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows and Linux development environments, and hands-on experience with version control systems like Git/SVN.
Team Collaboration: Emphasize your strong teamwork and partner management skills, essential for success in our collaborative and dynamic environment.
Nice to Have:
Ethernet Expertise: Familiarity with wired Ethernet firmware/driver knowledge will be a significant advantage.
Linux Proficiency: Experience in debugging Linux drivers and firmware/software is highly desirable.
Networking Knowledge: Understanding of the TCP/IP networking stack, especially physical and link layer protocols, will set you apart.
Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with defect tracking applications and customer collaboration tools is a plus.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
