About Estimating Sales Engineer

  Eaton's Power Distribution Control Assembly division is currently seeking a Estimating Sales Engineer. This role is located out of Omaha, NE.

  The expected annual salary range for this role is $77,249 - $113,299 a year.

  The Product Sales Engineer's primary responsibility is to manage the assigned customer base to increase sales in the marketplace and provide sales and technical assistance. The Sales Engineer will prepare and present bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines. Support total quality efforts by providing timely and accurate information for order entry, elevating quality issues to attention of management. Ensure that accurate information flows to and from customers. The position's primary objective is to optimize sales volume, product mix and profit margin.

  What you'll do:

  Lead all activities related to preparing technical pricing and commercial proposal quotations for Medium Voltage Switchgear Assemblies. Serve as the primary point of contact/trusted advisor with sales, customers, reps/agencies, end users, subject matter experts and team members for the development of technical & commercial proposals and provide assistance in support of sales growth objectives.Responsible for, but not limited to, pricing development, proposal, & submittal documentation.Prepare and present proposals to field sales/customer, to obtain the highest price level for products and services offered.Maintain proper communication with internal customers, including price and product feedback on both commercial and technical issues.Track proposal and order hit rate activity, enabling sales manager and outside sales engineers to monitor for customer/channel partner effectiveness. Actively support continuous improvement initiatives, and problems solving activities throughout the facility.Other duties as assigned

  Qualifications:

  Qualifications:

  Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution AND a minimum 2 years quotation, bid, or sales experience or 2 years manufacturing or building electrical switchgear assemblies OR Associate degree in engineering, technology, or business and 4 years minimum experience with manufacturing, engineering switchgear technology. Minimum 2 years of electrical industry related field service, application engineering or proposal development experience (sales).Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the location in order to be considered. Active duty military Service members are exempt from this geographical limitation

   Preferred Qualifications:

  Engineering Degree (Electrical Preferred) or Business Degree with Engineering/Technical Experience or an equivalency of 2 years hands-on field service experience and/or proposal generation experience specifically related to maintaining and modernizing electrical power distribution systems. Alternately a Certified Electrical Technologist (CET) with existing field service and/or proposal generation experience specific to our services.Experience with proposal development in both private sector and government bids; experience with proposal development for all of Eaton's end markets (Industrial, Commercial, Healthcare, Utility, Institutional and Government).Estimating experience in substation and electrical system installations
