We are building a team to lead SCE's NextGen Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program focused on motivating change through streamlining and modernizing our processes/systems across the ERP landscape. Our migration to the next generation of SAP's ERP software and enabling new digital solutions will increase automation, integrate artificial intelligence, and improve data access and quality.
NextGen ERP is a large, complex multi-year program designed to transform the way the electric utility operates. This critical strategic program leverages advanced technology innovations, such as machine learning and business process intelligence capabilities to enable an enterprise-wide future-focused business transformation. The Controls & compliance senior manager collaborates with Finance, Ethics and Compliance, Operational and Technology Integration leads, process owners, and stakeholders across the company to ensure that the project objectives and benefits are aligned with the organizational vision and goals.

Will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the financial, operations, regulatory, systems, and business controls functions, including the following responsibilities:
Business controls approach, strategy and responsibilities
SOX controls approach including testing scenarios
New data controls to support data management at the source and enable Generative AI
Oversee the development of controls deliverables prepared by the System Integrator and expert Controls vendor
Develops the future business plans for forming new compliance programs across impacted Operating Units (OU). Provides overall coordination, leadership, and guidance to Program Owners, Program Managers, and Process Owners regarding their respective controls requirements, programs, and processes
• Oversees the multi-disciplined complex controls implementation and assists Program Owners to coordinate milestones for development of the controls requirements
• Drives Program plan and schedule to ensure key compliance enforcement dates are met.
• Evaluates status and determines if the Controls Framework is on track or is at risk.
• Integrates all compliance related activities and provides uniform tracking and reporting for each compliance area.
• Ensures Controls Strategy and Framework provides adequate coverage of all compliance areas, including CPUC, FERC, Records Management, privacy, Controllers/SOX, Audits, Cybersecurity, Legislative, etc.
• Provides leadership to a team of professions comprised of internal SCE personnel (matrixed and non-matrixed; direct and indirect) and external (non-Edison) contractors, consultants, and supplemental workers.

Qualifications
The essentials:
• Ten or more years' experience in ERP implementation
• Seven or more years of project management experience.
• Five or more years of experience managing controls & compliance for an enterprise-wide level program/project.
The Preferred:
• Experience with managing sourcing efforts and/or managing vendors successfully.
• Experience with energy and/or utility business policies, objectives, strategies, goals, operations and applicable governmental laws and regulations.
• Experience working in Transmission and/or Distribution business unit.
• Project Management certification (PMP) and Agile certification
You should know...
This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
