NextGen ERP is a large, sophisticated multi-year program crafted to transform the way the electric utility operates. The ERP Modernization - Data Architect, Senior Advisor will help drive digital transformation by owning the development of the ERP data management strategies, data architecture, data management capabilities, and solution roadmaps. You will lead the modernization of the ERP data architecture, ensuring data integrity and seamless data exchange between systems. In this technical leadership role, you will deliver information/data architectures and designs for the ERP footprint that align with the overall IT technology strategy and data management strategy, while enabling the targeted business transformation goals of NextGen ERP. You will design and develop data quality, master data management, metadata management and data engineering solutions. As the Data Architect for the ERP footprint, you will validate that the data management solutions are future-proof, reusable and consider scalability, performance and align with security best practices.

Leads the development of the data management strategy, data architecture, data management capabilities, and solution roadmaps for the NextGen ERP footprint. You will collaborate closely with the Enterprise and Domain architects to ensure alignment of the ERP data management strategies and roadmaps with the overall IT technology strategies and roadmaps. Design and guide the implementation of the overall ERP data architecture, including architecting, developing, and guiding the implementation of data platforms, data integrations, and reporting and analytics solutions. Provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of data management solutions for the ERP footprint, assessing data integration patterns and crafting optimized data flows from various sources, including databases, applications, and external systems across the ERP footprint. Collaborate with customers, functional leads, solution architects and data scientist to understand business requirements and business use cases and translate them into scalable and efficient data management solutions. Defines architectural standards, principles and the governance framework and processes to manage customer decisions and safeguard the integrity of the NextGen ERP data architecture. Perform knowledge management, thought leadership and innovation activities; act an advisor and mentor to architectural and technical resources providing mentorship and motivation.
Qualifications
The essentials
Ten (10) or more years of experience designing and implementing data architectures, including data management capabilities, data integrations and reporting and analytics solutions. Five (5) or more years of experience in planning and driving data conversion/data migration projects in a technical lead role. Five (5) or more years of experience developing and applying data quality and data governance standard methodologies. Five (5) or more years of experience collaborating with business customers, solution architects and development teams to understand data requirements, business use cases, and translating them into scalable and robust data management solutions.
The preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems or related technical field such as Business or Engineering Experience in bringing to bear data and analytics capabilities from the cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform Five (5) or more years of experience with SAP ERP data architecture and EIM solutions such as SAP BODS, Information Steward and MDM/MDG Five (5) or more years of experience, serving as data architect, solution architect, technical lead or enterprise architect in very complex enterprise application environment upgrade or implementation projects Five (5) or more years of experience in designing and implementing modern data platforms (i.e. Data Fabric, Data Mesh, Data Hubs) in highly complex data environments SAP Professional Architect Certification TOGAF Project Management Certification (SAP Activate, PMI, SAFe, ACP) S/4 HANA Functional Modules 1909 or higher Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform Excellent understanding of the technical capabilities of multiple Hyperscalers (AWS or MS Azure) and their related SAP reference architectures SAP ERP or S/4 HANA ERP implementation experience (at least 1 full lifecycle implementations)

This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.
