Job Description
The R&D Test Systems Engineering (TSE) team is responsible for identifying, designing, building, and commissioning scalable test solutions to accelerate product development cycles by leveraging technology to reduce cost and complexity. TSE is a rare team that supports validation of both vehicle, energy and robotics programs across engineering and manufacturing.
A Mechanical Design Engineer on TSE, you will own the design and implementation of engineered test solutions that integrate with systems from all sides of the product arsenal (Energy, Vehicle & Robotics). The candidate should demonstrate a history of innovation, technical prowess, project management skills, a strong work ethic, and an ability to work cross functionally. Designs will apply skillsets in electromechanics, design for manufacturability/assembly, reliability, and functionality. At the same time, system-level understanding is paramount to defining a successful test solution. You will work together with internal customers to iterate, test, and learn as well as coordinate rapid product development cycles with external vendors. This is a very hands-on role!
