Overview:
Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) has an opening in our Environmental Department. UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct environmental due diligence audits for industrial and commercial transactions, including standard Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments consistent with ASTM standards and custom reports tailored to client-specific needs
Fieldwork such as site inspections, soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling, drilling, and contractor oversight
Travel to facilities for site visits, including both local and non-local travel. Overnight travel would not be expected to exceed 25%
Support multiple projects and meet high-quality standards on project deliverables
Qualifications:
3-5 years of related professional experience is highly preferred
Consulting experience preferred
Ability to clearly communicate both verbal and written technical information
Proficient in computer software (Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Working knowledge of federal & state environmental regulations (GAEPD USTMP, HSRA, Brownfield) and good research skills and abilities
Strong oral & written communication skills, including strong proficiency in technical report writing
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with the ability to multi-task
Familiarity with communicating to the client in business terms the environmental and regulatory liabilities and associated implications pertaining to the associated transaction.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related accredited program is required
Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines within budget
