This position is based at Kimberly-Clark's Neenah Cold Spring Facility and reports to the Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability Leader.
Role responsibilities:
Support and provide leadership for continuous improvement in all Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S) activities through development of robust safety systems and practices in conjunction with EHS&S team members. Work with plant leaders on setting and implementing strategic plans for safety improvement.Visibly demonstrate that safety is a value by following safety procedures, maintaining a safe workplace, complying with safety rules, and holding others to the same standard.EHS Management, to include:
Participate in the setting of EHS&S objectives and evaluation of the effectiveness of the facility EHS Management System and ensure that these activities are aligned with and support the site strategies, systems and policies as well as sector initiatives.Ensure that operating conditions comply with local legislation and codes.Identify Health and Safety aspects and hazards and manage them to acceptable levels of risk or impact.Report, investigate and promptly address substandard acts and conditions.Create and foster programs that lead to the creation of a culture where safety is recognized as a value.Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of sitewide EHS&S programs, policies, and standards.Serve as process owner for one or more key sitewide EHS systems.Serve as a plant resource on environmental, hazardous waste, chemical safety, and associated regulatory issues, and is responsible for recommending appropriate control procedures, monitoring the site pollution control equipment and facility to identify areas of concern, recommending corrective measures, and assisting in education and training of employees in proper environmental practices.Use lean tools such as standard work, problem solving, or A3 thinking to assist in achieving a Safety and Environmental Excellence culture.Ensure EHS training is completed as required by Kimberly-Clark and regulatory agencies.Assist with the handling of governmental agency and corporate inspections.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Safety & Health / Environmental or equivalent industrial experience and considerable knowledge and experience at the EHS functional level.Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements of OSHA, EPA, WI-DNR, and other federal and state-mandated safety and environmental regulations. Consensus standards include ANSI, NFPA, and others.Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.Prior experience with incident investigations, audits, and inspections preferred.
