  As a member of the EH&S team, the EH&S Consultant's role, based in Dublin, is responsible for leading the success and continuous improvement through risk management, prevention and promotion of H&S practices, to ensure all local, legislative H&S tasks and comprehensive administrative activities are completed to the required Health and Safety requirements, including compliance with H&S regulations and industry best practice.

  The role reports to the EH&S Director and requires close collaboration with a variety of internal stakeholders advising, coaching and providing H&S updates to ensure compliance with H&S policies, programs and adherence to control measures and procedures.

  Travel is required to other sites, to conduct inspections, audits and connect with key stakeholders, reporting on gaps and action plans.

  Working Schedule:

  This is a full-time position with standard working hours. You will be based in our Dublin office with 25-30% travel required.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Contribute actively to play an integral role within the H&S team, providing onsite support in developing the H&S strategy and policy ensuring local and integrated growth programs are aligned with current H&S standards, ensure consistency and standardization is applied, where relevant and appropriate. Serve as a safety advisor to internal stakeholders, provide consultation to set, guide and influence a wide range of environmental, health and safety agendas, in addition to directly delivering end to end safety programs including internal resolution of H&S issues or concerns. Develop, foster and coach a H&S culture which will work in synergy within the framework of the business culture, to promote this H&S culture model aligning with the EMEA community, enhance safety awareness, develop positive working relationships and maintain proactive contact with all key stakeholders. Support the implementation of agreed H&S objectives and standards across EMEA, recommend and make modifications to policies, procedures and objectives to existing systems, according to the results of researched indicators. Champion operational excellence and quality standards to facilitate effective safety management in all areas. Proactively ensure all EHS management systems are fully maintained, risks and trends are identified for processes associated with the organization's mission and all appropriate action is taken, meeting legal and H&S regulatory compliance as a minimum Ensure the availability of competent emergency response personnel at each site to minimize risks and maintain the development of environmental H&S programs, including emergency response plan requirements. Support the risk assessment portfolio, conduct, maintain and review existing risk assessments and lead the CAPA process, providing guidance to ensure all activities are closed in a timely manner. Identify a training needs analysis program in accordance with the specific needs detected in the analysis of hazards, evaluations, and risk assessments. Provide training inductions. Develop EH&S improvement opportunities and develop action plans for implementation with clearly defined accountabilities. Conduct thorough accident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Develop effective communication media that is relevant for environmental H&S programs for relevant audiences. Collect, analyze and present health and safety metric data to aid decision making, effectively communicate progress against targets, budget plan and variances in line with operational needs. Review safety monitoring reports, non-conformances, and improvement plans. Establish and maintain key networks, liaising with the stakeholders on a regular basis, proactively identifying areas which need progress, escalation, and closure to reduce safety risks. Develop an audit plan to include policy, documentation, and systems. Perform audits and planned site inspections of key H&S programs, tailored where relevant. Compile and report key results, gaps & remedial actions, to support compliance, drive continuous improvement and the development of best practice programs with recommended actions. Proactively address any barriers that hinder the delivery of safety programs.

  Required Qualifications:

  An undergraduate Degree in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, with practical demonstrative H&S experience relating to H&S audits, metrics, safety policies, procedures, risk assessments and best industry practice. Strong knowledge of Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety regulations & legislation Proven H&S experience in a similar industry, consulting on and leading H&S programs in a multisite organization, with a wide range of stakeholders Excellent MS proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - supporting all administrative requirements. Goal oriented, results driven, self- motivated with strong problem-solving skills to prioritise business objectives and identified H&S targets. Strong team player with influencing skills, with the ability to manage in all directions, adapt to different audiences and gain commitment to deliver the safety strategy. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, using data driven insights for decision making. Excellent communication and reporting skills, ability to communicate and present safety reports clearly and confidently at all levels, in writing and in groups. Ability to provide coaching, empowering others to embrace safety stewardship.

  Preferred Qualifications

  Knowledge of both Ireland and the UK Environment Health and Safety legislation. Operational knowledge and experience of ISO 45000 and/or Quality standards, a preferred advantage NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Previous experience in an end-to-end auditing role, from initial audit to delivery of action plans Proven project management skills, ability to manage projects, gain commitment from others to ensure plans are coordinated effectively and delivered on time and within budget.
